Remembering

One thing that has really been on my mind recently is remembering what the Lord has done.  Remember where He brought you from.  I can look back on my life and see the difference He has made.  I remember the pit of sin I was in, that He reached down and pulled me out of.  Do you remember when He made a way when there seemed to be no way?  So many times I forget.  I get so caught up in the here and now, or the future, that I forget about what He has already done.  How many times have we prayed for something and forgotten to thank Him, forgotten to remember what He has done for us.

I think this same principle applies for regions and churches.  Lee University is rich with the Church of God heritage.  I am not one to promote denomenationalism AT ALL.  But, when looking through history, God has come through the Church of God in mighty revivals.  We must remember that heritage.  Do not get consumed with what He has done in the past; but Revelation 19:10 tells us that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.  What He has done before, He can and will do again.  We are told in Haggai 2:9 that the glory of the latter house will be greater than the former.  Don't put God in a box of what He has done in the past; look to the past as a launching pad for what He is going to do now and in the future.

He is about to do awesome things!  I believe revival, awakening, like we have never seen before is about to be poured out.  Lean on the heritage of your walk with Jesus, pull on what He has done in your past, use it as prophecy that He will do it again.  From this position, run with Him into what He is doing in the Earth!
